Remote App on Server 2019 quit working
Hi Mike,
My remote apps quit working a week or so ago on the Server 2019. Any idea on how to troubleshoot this?

I assume you’re talking about RemoteApp programs that were published via the WSE RemoteApp add-in correct? If so, then you haven’t given much (any) info for me to go on and so I’m not even sure where to start…
Have you tried rebooting the server (and client computers)?
What OS Build of Windows Server 2019 are you using (e.g. 17763.7136, etc.)?
What version of WSE RemoteApp do you currently have installed on your server (e.g. 1.255.2043.0, etc.)?
What exactly happens when you attempt to connect to a RemoteApp program? Are you receiving an error (if so what exactly does it say)?
Are you attempting to connect to RemoteApp programs locally or remotely? If remotely, then are your sure that Anywhere Access/Remote Web Access is properly configured and working on your server (i.e. can you successfully connect to the server’s built-in Remote Web Access website and then connect to your server and/or one of your client computers from there)? BTW, if you happen to be using a remotewebaccess.com Microsoft personalized domain name, then those are currently not working in Essentials AFAIK and so you’ll most likely need to manually set up your own custom/vanity domain name instead (see here).
I also assume that things were working fine for you previously. If so, then do you recall making any changes to the server that caused things to stop working (such as installing Windows Updates, installing other applications, roles, or features, etc.)?
Lastly, if you’re not able to figure out what the issue is, then your best bet would be to restore the server back to a point in time where things were last known to be working properly (you do have server backup enabled for your server in the server Dashboard now don’t you)? Other than that, and as a last resort, you might need to stand up a brand new/clean server install and start over from scratch again if you’re unable to correct the issue.
