Windows Server 2016 Essentials Health Monitor Error

0

I have just done a fresh install of Windows Server 2016 Essentials. After I ran through the setup and applied all the required Microsoft updates via Windows Update, I began to experience an issue with the health assessment:

Computer monitoring error

Occurrences
******SERVER 2/22/2023 4:54 PM
Details
Can only partially assess the health of this computer. The failing components are: MicrosoftSecurity!OnlineServicesPackageUpdate

Resolution
1. An error was encountered with the last health assessment.

2. Health assessment will be reattempted at the next scheduled time.

I researched this issue online and found a post on the Microsoft Community site where the solution to fix the issue was to replace two files from a backup. (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/545944/ws2016e-computer-monitoring-errors

The files are:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Data\Cloud\OnlineServicesConfigFile-AU.xml
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Data\Cloud\OnlineServicesConfigLanguageResourceFile-EN-AU.xml

Since I ran Windows Update prior to configuring any sort of backup, I no longer have the original non corrupted files. I really do not want to go back and reinstall from scratch to get copies of the files. I have already configured all my PC’s, added my programs, and set up Storage Spaces so it would be a two-day task to redo the install.

I then saw in The Office Maven that Mike had solved this problem in his WSEE product. That gives me hope that I can get my WSE 2016 working without the constant errors in my Health Check.

I was hoping someone would have copies of the two xml files so I could avoid a reinstall.

Can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it!!
