Updater says WSEE not installed, but WSEE installer
In am in a “catch 22” situation with WSEE on a Server 2022 STD machine.
After a failed inplace upgrade to server 2025, WSEE appears to be partially removed,
I tried re-installing WSEE , but was stopped by message that Certificate Authority Role needed to be removed. Role removed via Server Manger and server restarted.
Tried again to run WSEE installer (fresh download) , but rec’d error message that WSEE was already installed and that it should be removed via control panel/program sand features. WSEE NOT listed in control panel/programs.
Downloaded lastest WSEE Updater ,but met with message that WSEE is already installed.
Searched for WSEE Zapper, but found that it is no longer offered as it now is part of WSEE Updater.
All server folders are on drives/disks separate from system drive.
I have 1 client PC that desperately needs to be restored(Wife’s), but can not access backup.
Anyone else have similar situation, that they successfully overcame??
Thanks for any suggestions

Hmmm… That is a bit of a pickle now isn’t it. :- O
Try deleting the “89358BF37F6C1FF40940E32865754FBA” registry branch from the server under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products
Then try running the latest WSEE Installer again.
Does that help any?
