Essentials dashboard not starting
I have a number of servers where the Dashboard will no longer start. When I open the program the UAC pops up asking if I want to start, I click yes and the message disappears but no dashboard appears, when look at Task Manager the Dashboard program starts but immediately shuts down.
I don’t see any errors in the app or sys logs.
Any suggestions?

You’ll most likely want to take at the log files (such as Dashboard.log) within the Essentials server’s “Logs” folder to see if you can find any info on what’s causing the Dashboard to crash like that. You can find the server’s Logs folder located at:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Logs
If you sort the folder by date modified, then the most recently modified log files will appear up at the top of the folder (and the newest entries will be all be written down at the very bottom of each of the log files).
Other than that, what version of Windows Server Essentials are you using? If it’s 2019, 2022, or 2025 and you used my WSEE Installer to install WSEE on the server, then you might want to try running the WSEE Updater on the server and see if that helps any. You can download the latest release of the WSEE Updater from here.
If the WSEE Updater happens to inform you that the latest update is already installed on your server, then simply check the checkbox stating that you would like to reinstall the update anyway.

I don’t think it specific your WSEE
I have a 2016 Server with Server Essentials role installed where the dashboard doesn’t start as well.
Several still work, those when I start the dashboard, the UAC comes up then I immediately get the White Windows Server logo and the dashboard comes up after a bit
In the log on the ones where the dashboard doesn’t start I see two lines

There is one 2022 and one 2025. I tried using the October updater again using the reinstall anyway bit and it didn’t help
