I have tried to send an email support question but the system keeps on telling me it is invalid. I have corrected the section that was highlighted and there are now now highlighted errors and it is still telling me that the message is invalid.

The message is below:

I dont think it has anything to do with your add in but you may be able to explain where Windows server works differently with automation then it does in a windows 10 desktop thus preventing the opening of the word document.

I have been developing a Microsoft Access runtime application and I have come across a problem with automating opening a Word document and updating a number of bookmarks.

The system works perfectly on my windows 10 development machine but when i install the program on my server the only part that does not work properly is the word automation. Below is the line of code where the system hangs and does not open the document template in to word

Set wDoc = wApp.Documents.Open(“C:\ProgramData\WordTemplates\SJFeist\ServiceReminderLetter.docx”)

Thank you for alerting me to the problem with our email support form. I have corrected the issue, and it should be working properly now.

As for your Word automation problem… I’m not exactly sure what’s happening on that one as I haven’t experimented with using automation to open Microsoft Word documents from another application/program while it is being run under Windows Server (as a RemoteApp program or straight from a standard Remote Desktop Connection for that matter). Perhaps your question would be better off being asked in one of Microsoft’s Office, Windows Server, or Remote Desktop specific TechNet forums.
