Anywhere Access configuration problem

0

I tried to set up/repair Anywhere Access and received the following message when it finished: “Anywhere Access to your server is blocked. Please check inbound connectivity on port 443 and 80.”

I checked my router, and it is forwarding TCP on both port 443 and 80, so I don’t know where else to check.

Also, I tried to use Computer Connector on one of my clients and it could not find my server.

The Anywhere Access set up wizard will frequently complain that ports 80 and 443 are not open even when they are. Since you’ve confirmed that they are properly forwarded to the (static) IP address of your server within your network router, then Anywhere Access should still work. What happens when you go to your server’s built-in Remote Web Access website (e.g., https://YourDomainPrefix.remotewebaccess.com/remote or https://YourDomainPrefix.YourCustomDomain.com/remote)? You may also want to try a reboot of your server just to see if that helps any.

As for the Windows Server Essentials Connector software not being able to see your server from your client computer(s)… Follow the steps I’ve provided over here and you should then be able to get your client computers connected.
