the latest Essentials updater seems to take a very long time

To install.

Started around 8:15am still going at 9:00am assigning permissions

Finally finished around 9:10am

Is there a way to let people know it will take a bit to install this time?

Also forgot to ask a question, when installing the updater does it kill any existing VPN or RDP Gateway sessions?

    I’ve never tested those things specifically, and so I can’t say for certain, but I imagine that it would seeing as the WSEE Updater must stop all of the Windows Server Essentials services in order to perform the update properly.

Yeah that was my thought as well. I will make sure to test it though on the next server I do.

The others have gone without a hitch. Yes it kills any existing RDP Gateway and VPN sessions
