WHS Money v2

WHS Money is a Windows Home Server® v1 add-in that’s great for keeping track of your personal finances while you are away from home, on vacation, etc. You get full access to all of the features of Microsoft Money® Plus ‘Sunset’ (Deluxe or Home and Business), without having to install a copy of Microsoft Money on every machine that you want to use it from. Your installed copy of Money (and all of its data) remains safe, and secure, at home on your Windows Home Server while you access it locally from any of your client PCs, or remotely from anywhere in the world that Internet access is available.

Installation Notes

Before installing WHS Money, you will need to perform a Remote Desktop Connection to your Windows Home Server as the Administrator and install a copy of Microsoft Money® Plus ‘Sunset’ (Deluxe or Home and Business) directly on your home server.

Once you have Microsoft Money installed, fully updated, and running properly on your Administrator’s desktop, you can then go ahead install the WHS Money add-in into the Windows Home Server Console (just as you would any other Windows Home Server add-in).

After the WHS Money add-in has been installed, open the Windows Home Server Console, click on “Settings“, locate the new “WHS Money” settings tab, click the “Configure” button, and turn on User Accounts access. You may also enable Web Site access at this time if so desired. After that, you can choose which of your Windows Home Server users you want to allow access to WHS Money, and follow the on-screen prompts to begin using the add-in.

For more information on installing WHS Money, please see the ReadMe.txt file included with the download.
